Our client; a multinational company operating within the chemical industry (adhesives), is looking for an innovative engineer with experience in the automotive display industry to join their team! 

What you will be doing: 

• You support the sales team and automotive customers with developing technical concepts and prototypes for automotive display applications (both manual and fully automated) to meet customer demands.
• You will coordinate as project manager between stakeholders, automotive customers, and mechanical engineering partners ensuring successful realization of tape process automation in the automotive industry.
• You will collaborate with customer and development team to understand and align new product specifications and capabilities for processability with market demands.
• You are responsible for benchmarking technology and competition in the defined focus field and provide input to Product -, Technology Development and the Marketing team.
• You will be part of a dynamic team which is driven by an entrepreneur spirit.
• With your hands-on mentality, you verify technical concepts from first drafting up to full prototype development application devices.
• Part of your job will be creating and implementing internal and external technical trainings on adhesive tape application processes.

What your profile should look like: 

• Technical engineering background with a master's or bachelor's degree, preferably mechanical engineering or related studies.
• 3+ years of professional experience in automotive display industry.
• Proven experience in optical bonding process of displays and related manufacturing processes.
• Strong understanding of display technologies, materials, and production techniques.
• Preferably experience in customer service or other direct customer facing roles.
• Fluent in written and spoken English (at least B2) and German is a plus.
• Experiences in CAD software and 3D design is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and talented networker.
• Advanced presentation and negotiation skills, strong customer focus, result oriented.
• Team player able to communicate and work across hierarchy levels.
• Up to 50% travel activities is within your comfort zone.
