Finance Manager

Location: Heves County, approximately 40 minutes by car from Budapest (District XV) and about 25 minutes from Gyöngyös.
Our client – the Hungarian subsidiary of a Scandinavian industrial group – is looking for a proactive and independent Finance & Administration Manager who will take full responsibility for Finance, Accounting, HR administration, and basic IT coordination.
This is a key position replacing a long-serving colleague who will retire soon. You will work closely with the local Managing Director and maintain a dotted-line cooperation with the Group CFO abroad.
Your Responsibilities
In this role, you will be the central point for all financial and administrative matters, including:
Finance & Accounting
Oversee all accounting, tax, treasury and compliance activities
Ensure accurate and timely monthly/annual closing and reporting
Manage budgeting and forecasting
Maintain up-to-date accounting records that reflect reality
Liaise with auditors, external accountants, banks, insurance partners and the parent company
Business Support & Controlling
Provide financial insights and decision-support materials to management
Ensure proper product calculation routines and cost management
Drive strong cash and margin management
Support risk management, including insurance matters
HR & Administration
Handle HR administration (contracts, hiring, termination, basic administration)
Oversee payroll (performed by external provider)
Support management with people-related processes
IT Coordination
Purchase basic IT equipment
Coordinate with the external IT service provider
Act as local ERP key user / system administrator (ERP: Deep)
Your Profile
We are looking for someone who is both practical and strategic, capable of working independently in a small-team environment.
Ideal Qualifications
Degree in Accounting or Finance
Certified Accountant (preferred; not mandatory if accounting is outsourced)
3–5+ years of experience in accounting, controlling, audit or similar
Experience in manufacturing is an advantage
Intermediate English (daily communication with Group)
