Diepeveen & Partners Kft is an international search and selection company dedicated to finding top-tier talent for our clients. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for one of our esteemed clients.

Our client is a prominent charitable organization, known for its extensive work in providing aid and support to those in need. With a long history of service, the organization operates in many countries, focusing on the protection of faith and service to the poor.

Position Overview: The CFO will be responsible for leading a team of 20+ finance professionals, overseeing all financial operations, and providing strategic financial guidance to the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting, with a preference for experience in the non-profit sector (charity work).

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the finance team, ensuring efficient and effective financial operations.
• Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
• Provide strategic financial insights to support decision-making.
• Collaborate with other senior leaders to drive organizational growth and sustainability.
• Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, banks, and investors.

Qualifications:

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior financial leadership role.
• Proven track record of managing large finance teams.
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations and standards.
• Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional communication and leadership abilities.
• Experience in the non-profit sector (charity work) is preferred.
• Good command of English is an advantage, must know Hungarian.
• Sound knowledge of Hungarian accounting and tax regulations.
